Alfa Insurance Raised My Deductible
on August 27, 2011 at 9:33 amTwo weeks ago I had a lightning strike which hit my water heater, a big screen tv, my computer, light fixtures and switches, electric box and 2 surge protectors. Well, my deductible has always been $250, by my choice, and today I was told that alfa across the board went up to a $1,000 deductible.
So now, after the deductible and what I owe the eletrician and plumber I have no TV, no computer, can’t afford to replace anything. I will be changing insurance asap! I have had alfa over 20 yrs (cars and home) and only had one other claim where I had to use my homeowners insurance, and I feel like I am being done completely wrong by Alfa. As a 20 year customer, don’t I deserve the choice of what I pay for the deductible?
It’s sad when you’ve trusted your insurance for so long, and then they do something like this to you.
