Dealing with Rude Representatives of Everest Insurance
on January 24, 2011 at 2:49 pmI have never in my entire life dealt with such a rude representative of an insurance company.
On December 18, 2010 while shopping in Savannah, Georgia I was rear ended by a vehicle that was insured by Everest Insurance. A police report was taken with the other driver being cited for following too close. When we finally got in touch with the other driver’s insurance company (Everest) I was treated awful.
I called and stated my information and dealt with Ms. Loretta Brown of Everest Insurance in Georgia. She began talking to me like I was stupid. She was hateful to me and all I wanted to do was get her the information that she required. I felt like I had been whipped when I got through talking with her.
Finally, after two weeks I called to see the status of my claim against her insured (luckily no one was injured in the accident.) She started out butting in when I was asking her the status of the claim. She said she was sending me a check for $700 less that the estimate from the body shop, and stated that this is what they got from their adjuster. I asked her what body shop would do the repairs for that amount and I would take my truck to them. She snorted and said, that is all we are going to pay and if the body shop gets in there and there is more damage to call her!
I was dumbfounded. I have never dealt with someone so rude, when in reality their insured was in the wrong. I asked her if there was a letter that was sent out with the check explaining all this in detail, to which she replied “No, that is why I am explaining it to you now. Call me if you have anything else”.
Well, when you don’t have all this in writing she can claim anything if I call her back later. She stated that she was not sending a letter with it and that she was telling me everything now. I wanted to curse and scream because of her rudeness.
I thank God that I don’t have my insurance with Everest and that I have it with nice, friendly, honest people with Georgia Farm Bureau of Georgia.

I understand your dismay over Everest. I have waited over a month to find out the status of this claim we have with the everest insurance company operating out of Alpharetta. They seem to think that people want to sit around with broken vehicles till their own convenience allows them to take charge of the policy that they have wrote. We have progressive and they were right on it from the get go, but we are still waiting on the tardiness of the other company, Everest Security Insurance Company. I hope they don’t insure too many people because there will be a lot of mad individuals that are hit by their customers.
