Donegal Insurance Cancelled Paid Policy
on August 17, 2011 at 1:50 pmI have been with Donegal for 4 years. Since January their customer service has gone down the toilet. I pay, every month, whatever the bill states to pay. I have proof it comes out of my checking account every month. My wife called to inquire about something and the person on the other end said that our insurance was cancelled yesterday; and that we owed $460.00 plus $90.00 for the boat to bring everything current.
I don’t have $550.00 laying around to pay something I have already paid! I have all bank statements to prove my payments, but Donegal blames it on the local insurance company which I deal with. My wife went to their office this morning and their records mirror my records. Who’s wrong here? As it stands, we went across the street and got boat insurance with State Farm, but they were over three times what I was paying with Donegal for everything else.
I now have no insurance on my home or vehicles. My wife and I are shopping around right now for another company. I feel so helpless! Beware of Donegal Insurance Group!
