Selective insurance troubles after hurricane Irene

I gave the Selective insurance adjuster written estimates on everything that was damaged during the storm, and just for our fence it was $4.500 and to clear 6 trees off the fence line and cars it was $3.500 (not counting the damage to our shed and the water damage to the ceiling in the house, or the computer and all of the food we lost- and I am insured for everything).
It took them 2 weeks to get out here and then they sent a check out for less than $7.000- that doesn’t even fully cover the fence and what I paid out for the removal of the trees. And the adjuster was from New Jersey, not md- go figure.
I am now looking for a new insurance company, and my advice would be stay away from Selective.
